Aleks Baran is a multi-disciplinary consultant with over a decade of experience leading and supporting public- and private-sector initiatives across the fields of emergency management, continuity, healthcare preparedness, and counterterrorism. Her unique professional background blends deep subject matter expertise with robust capabilities in project management, research and data analysis, business development, and creative design—making her a powerful asset to any team navigating complex preparedness and resilience challenges.
Throughout her career, she has developed, led, and supported a wide range of emergency preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery efforts and has played a key role in crafting emergency operations plans, hazard mitigation strategies, incident-specific annexes, and guidance documents at the local, county, and state levels. Her work has addressed an array of real-world threats and events, including active shooter incidents, terrorist attacks, natural disasters such as hurricanes, utility outages, campus emergencies, and pandemic response and recovery.
Aleks is also highly experienced in the design and delivery of functional, tabletop, and full-scale exercises, as well as the development of after-action reports and improvement plans. Her approach ensures organizations are not only compliant with industry standards but are also operationally ready to respond to evolving threats.
